This is an under construction page right now for the painting rules, but after January we will put up the initial painting rubric we will be using for the tournament. For each division, there are three painting and modeling categories:
- Best Pained Single Model (“The Golden Grot”). Individuals may choose to enter into this competition. It is not required, and the scoring does not factor into Sweepstakes Champion for the tournament.
- Best Converted Single Model (“The Golden Gnoblar”). Individuals may choose to enter into this competition. It is not required, and the scoring does not factor into Sweepstakes Champion for the tournament.
- Best Painted Army (“The Golden Gobbo). Each individual is judged in this category, and it will factor into the points for the Sweepstakes Champion. All armies are required to follow a three color minimum for their models. If there is any uncertainty about this standard, contact us ahead of time to avoid being unable to field your models. We will be placing example pictures as we get closer to the tournament to make sure our standards are very clear
Although the tournament champion is based strictly on wins and losses, the sweepstakes champion is based on the combined battle points, painting points, and sportsmanship points (40% 40% 20% respectively). Therefore, someone who more enjoys a balanced approach to tournaments should keep in mind that there is an award out there that will also award them a trip to Las Vegas if the Bugeater gets added to the GW Tournament Circuit.
